CENTERVILLE – As you will see in the following HN Video, firefighters had their hands full as they battled two fully involved boat fires simultaneously out on Wequaquet Lake today.
The call came in shortly before noon for a fully involved boat fire. HN arrived on scene with first responders as the fire caught onto a second boat.
Firefighters contended with intense flames as they tried to tow each boat toward the boat ramp on Shoot Flying Hill Road.
Once at the shoreline, firefighters were able to attack both stubborn fires, having already hooked up to a nearby hydrant.
Shoot Flying Road needed to be completely shut down for the better part of 2 hours as firefighters worked the scene.
