Centerville – Worrisome moments, as a mother and young child were transported to Cape Cod Hospital at 7:15pm today for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries after a minor traffic accident at the intersection of Route 28 and Old Stage Road.

The mother was struck from behind by a Silverado pickup truck… she was driving a smaller Nissan sedan.

Traffic was slowed to one lane of travel and the scene took a little bit longer than usual to clean up after because police officers had to await the delayed arrival of a county identification officer who was busy finishing up another scene in the Mashpee area.
