YARMOUTH POLICE ARREST PERSON FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AFTER CRASHING VEHICLE IN TO A BARN
On Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 5:42PM the Yarmouth Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a building on Route 6A in Yarmouthport. Investigation revealed that crash was intentional and part of a Domestic Violence attack.
The person fled the scene on foot but was captured a short time later by Yarmouth Police Department K9 Officer Mike Kramer and his partner Satu.
The person responsible was placed under arrest and held at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters overnight on $3,000 cash bail.
The person was transported to the Barnstable District Court this morning for arraignment for Felony Assault while Armed with a Dangerous Weapon ( motor vehicle).
Due to restrictions in the Massachusetts Domestic Violence Law, the police are unable to identify the person arrested.
