COPS: Young mom shoved to the ground, robbed in broad daylight… newly arrived homeless man in custody… [RAW VIDEO]
HYANNIS – A young HyTown mom says she was shoved to the ground and robbed of her cell phone as she was out walking in broad daylight in the area of Ridgewood Ave and Center Street.
Barnstable Police Patrolman Dan Ruth quickly caught up to and arrested the suspect in front of the transportation center, which is about a block and half from the crime scene.
HN arrived just as police were arresting the suspect. The young mother of a 7-month-old was at the scene of the arrest, still very upset with being mugged and thrown to the ground in such a violent way.
The victim told HN that her baby was fortunately not with her at the time of the robbery.
Eddy Pamphile, age 33, homeless and recently arrived on the streets of Hyannis from the Boston area, was charged with Unarmed Robbery, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct… (Various sources tell HN that the homeless suspect has been in town for less than one week.)
The following raw video highlights the scene of the arrest. Emotions were elevated.
WARNING – The following video footage is of a volatile arrest scene. It contains a lot of profanity that some viewers might find offensive. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
