Pedestrian listed in critical condition after struck by vehicle in Cotuit… [HN VIDEO]
LATEST BPD MEDIA STATEMENT:
On Wednesday August 5, 2020 at approximately 9:20 p.m., the Barnstable Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in which a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle that had been traveling east on Route 28 near Geraldine Road in Cotuit.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a male victim lying on the south side of Route 28 with serious injuries. Also located at the scene were a 2010 Ford Mustang and the vehicle’s female operator. The Mustang had moderate damage to its engine hood and windshield, however, the operator of the vehicle was uninjured.
The injured pedestrian, a 28 year old male from Cotuit, was treated by Centerville Osterville Marstons Mills Fire/Rescue personnel at the accident scene and subsequently was transferred by Med-Flight to a Boston area hospital. At the time of this press release, the victim was listed in critical condition by the hospital’s medical personnel.
