COTUIT – A middle-aged driver was evaluated and released by EMTs after his vehicle suddenly slid off the roadway Thursday evening.
At about 9:30 p.m. – 2/18/21 – Barnstable Police and Cotuit Rescue responded to the area of 1135 Old Post Road for a single vehicle crash into a tree.
It had been off and on light snow prior to the crash and road conditions were not optimal. Old Post Road from Route 28 south toward the crash scene was still partially covered with slush, snow and icy spots. It is believed the Range Rover SUV lost control after hitting a slushy area…
The driver was not transported to hospital and able to collect his belongings from the SUV prior to it being towed.
The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
