Hyannis – At approximately 5:45pm, State Troopers were involved in a foot pursuit after a man wanted on two warrants fled to avoid capture…
Multiple troopers converged on the area and managed to get their man and place him into a cruiser parked in front of the Hyannis Transportation Center…
During the foot chase, troopers observed the man throw a plastic shopping bag into a fenced in area along the train tracks…
Troopers managed to gain entry to the locked area and eventually found the bag in question… According to Massachusetts State Police Lieutenant Dan Richards, the bag contained what they believe to be a quantity of heroin…
Justin Sharples, age 33, of Barnstable was arrested for both warrants and transported to the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in South Yarmouth… he will also receive charges related to the recovered heroin…
