Yarmouth and Barnstable Police Nail Armed Robber
On Monday, December 9, 2013 at 12:17PM Yarmouth Police Officers responded to the Camp Street in West Yarmouth to search for a suspect who had recently committed an armed robbery of the Tedeschi’s convenience store on nearby Yarmouth Road in Hyannis. The suspect was described as a male wearing a black mask, gray sweatshirt, and riding a blue bike
As Yarmouth Patrol Officer David Schneeweis arrived in the area, he was flagged down by a male in a pickup truck who advised the Officer that he had seen the suspect flee and go behind a house at 346 Camp Street West Yarmouth which is the home of Kyle Rosenlund who is well known to Law Enforcement.
The home was surrounded by Yarmouth and Barnstable Police Officers and the perimeter secured with assistance of Yarmouth Division of Natural Resource Officers and other Yarmouth and Barnstable Police personnel.
Within a short period of time, Rosenlund was convinced to exit the home and was taken in to custody. Once the house was secured, Yarmouth Police were informed that an armed robbery may have occurred at the Sav-On gas station prior to the one a Tedeschi’s which had not been reported.
Yarmouth Police Officers subsequently confirmed that Rosenlund had entered the gas station wearing mask and attempted a robbery but no money was obtained and he fled.
Rosenlund will be held overnight at Barnstable Police Headquarters and will be arraigned in the Barnstable District Court on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. He will be charged with numerous felony crimes by both Police Departments.

Armed Robbery
On 12/9/13, at approximately 12:15 pm, the Barnstable Police Department received a 911 call from Tedeschi’s Food Mart on Yarmouth Rd., Hyannis. The store employee reported that he had just been robbed at gunpoint by an individual who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask. After committing the robbery, the suspect reportedly fled on a bicycle towards Camp St. in Yarmouth. At the same time, the Yarmouth Police Department was also working on an attempted armed robbery case of their own which had occurred just over the Yarmouth town line at the Sav-On gas station. After a search of the area by members of the Barnstable Police Department and the Yarmouth Police Department, Kyle Roselund was located at his residence on Camp St. in Yarmouth and placed under arrest regarding both cases.
EDITOR’S NOTE: There appears to be a discrepancy between both police press releases…. Yarmouth is spelling Kyle’s last name as Rosenlund…. while Barnstable is spelling it as Roselund… (there is a good chance one of the spellings is correct…lol… hey, typing errors happen!)
