Woman stabbed… suspect in custody [Video]
Hyannis – Shortly after 11:15pm, Patrolman Lounsbury came on the radio and stated he was initiating a stabbing investigation in the area of Emerald Physicians on West Main Street…
… dispatch quickly sent additional units to assist.

Lounsbury also announced a female victim was stabbed in the hand and that she had just fled the scene driving a black Honda Civic towards the West End Rotary.
The name and description of the female was given out to responding officers.
Patrolman Brendan Burchell quickly caught up to the injured woman near Mr. Perry’s Tux on North Street [see top photo], where officers heard her side of the story.
The woman, who was bleeding from the hand, remained seated in her vehicle until rescue arrived.

Hyannis Rescue treated the victim at the scene before transporting her to CCH.
Officers described the woman’s injury as a “defensive” stab wound.

Back at the West Main Street scene, Patrolman Lounsbury handcuffed the suspect after receiving information regarding the victim’s side of the story. He also spoke with a male and several distraught women who also wound up at the West Main Street scene. It’s unknown whether they were witnesses or not…
According to radio transmissions, the incident may have started at 51 Shady Lane… just a short distance from the West Main Street location where the suspect was placed into custody.
A crime scene investigator was requested to respond the hospital to take photos of the stab wound.

The suspect will reportedly be charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon…
