DRIVER CITED AFTER THREE-CAR CRASH AT BASSETT & STEVENS [HN PHOTOS]

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – Barnstable Police squad cars responded to a three-car crash at the intersection of Bassett Lane and Stevens Street at around noon today. According to radio transmissions, four people were evaluated by Hyannis Rescue, but there were no serious injuries, and nobody was transported. The intersection of Bassett and Stevens is a four-way stop. It is notorious for frequent crashes ranging from minor to serious. Today’s crash was moderate, and two of the three vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit assisted with photographs. The male driver of one of the involved vehicles apparently received a traffic citation on scene.
The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
