Driver dies at rollover crash scene…
MARSTONS MILLS – [DEVELOPING] Barnstable Police are investigating a rollover crash where the driver did not survive.
It’s uncertain what caused a Toyota pickup truck to strike a utility pole in the area of 1030 Osterville West Barnstable Road this morning at about 11:25AM.
A press release prepared by Captain Brian Morrison of the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department states that they received a call for the motor vehicle crash. The press statement then continues, “Barnstable Police Department arrived on scene and found a vehicle on its side in the roadway with one occupant inside. Vehicle struck a utility pole and a tree. COMM FD (Car 321, Engine-306 and Ambulance-326) arrived on location and extricated the patient out the vehicle using hand tools. Boston MedFlight was requested but cancelled shortly after being called. BPD and Eversource remained on location. One COMM FD firefighter was treated at Cape Cod Hospital for a minor injury.”
According to sources, police are investigating what caused the fatality, whether it was medical emergency that caused the crash, and whether the crash was the actual cause of death or not…
