BREWSTER – [DEVELOPING] – Shortly prior to 1:00 a.m. this morning, police and firefighters responded to Route 137 in the area of Villages Drive after a single vehicle left the roadway and slammed into a tree.

The first Brewster Police Officer on scene reported the driver was nowhere to be found…

Another police officer checked a residence possibly associated with the vehicle, but was unable to locate the driver.

A Dennis Police K-9 Unit responded and hit the ground tracking in the area of the crash. Whatever track officers had going ended a short distance away from the scene.

Brewster Police are investigating the crash… and the investigation is active and ongoing. [DEVELOPING] HN will provide updates as they become available.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law…
