FIREFIGHTERS: FULLY INVOLVED COTTAGE TOTAL LOSS! [FD Photos]





The following is the actual DFD press statement:
DENNIS PORT (MA) June5, 2018 – At [5:16AM] the Dennis Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at Camper’s Haven 184 Old Wharf Road, cottage 15C.
When firefighters arrived the unoccupied cottage was fully involved. Dennis firefighters using two 1 3/4 hose line extinguished the fire while preventing it from spreading to other cottages in the densely populated area.
The cottage is owned by Claude and Barbara Lohnes from Holden Ma. The cottage is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious. Early indicators are of an electrical issue.
The Dennis fire department was assisted at the scene by an engine from the Harwich fire department while Brewster fire and Yarmouth fire covered the town.
There were no reported injuries to firefighters.
