First responders revive and save OD patient’s life…
Hyannis – At about 5:45pm, police dispatchers were providing CPR instructions over the phone as several Barnstable patrolmen along with Hyannis Rescue workers rushed to an address on Yarmouth Road…
A middle aged male had overdosed and was unresponsive, it is uncertain whether the drug involved was illicit or prescribed…
Police officers with medical supplies swiftly scaled a flight stairs and entered an apartment… Rescue workers also arrived quickly and began to treat the patient, eventually carrying the stricken man down a flight of outdoor stairs and onto a stretcher…
Medics continued to stabilize the patient inside an ambulance parked in the driveway…
Minutes later, a pair of rescue workers exited the ambulance still looking concerned, yet slightly relieved… it was beginning to look like the patient would pull through…
The patient was ready to be transported to nearby Cape Cod Hospital…
According to sources, the patient is alive and expected to survive… thanks to the efforts and teamwork of dispatchers, patrols, firefighters, medics, and emergency room staff…

Hyannis – At about 3:15pm, police received a tip that three males sitting inside a vehicle were offering the sale of drugs to people passing by…
The Connecticut registered vehicle was parked in the Seven Eleven parking lot on North Street…
Several squad cars quickly responded and surrounded the vehicle…
After having the males exit and place their hands on the vehicle, officers discovered a shopping bag of what appeared to be prescription pill bottles, along with two wads of small bills…
Police knew something was up, but needed evidence that would hold up in court…
For one reason or another, the suspects’ story checked out for the time being, at least to some degree… and all three subjects were released from the scene…
The entire incident was suspicious to say the least… and hopefully we will not see these individuals again…

Hyannis – At about 2:30pm, a patrolman in the area of McDonald’s on Route 132 asked for backup when a young male appeared to be walking away and attempting to evade talking to him…
Moments later police caught up to and detained the subject in the parking lot of The Tiki Port…
Upon further investigation, officers learned the man was wanted on two warrants…
According to radio transmissions, Quaun Ely, age 22, was transported back to BPD headquarters for booking…
No further details were available at the time of this report…

Hyannis – Earlier in the day, police received calls that a jeep was driving along West Main Street on one of its rims after getting a flat tire… reports also stated the male driver was operating erratically.
Several cruisers quickly located and stopped the vehicle…
The driver surprisingly passed field sobriety tests…
Police assisted the man by calling a tow truck…
