FLEEING SUSPECT TASERED: Larceny suspect in custody after foot chase… [VIDEO]
HYANNIS – A local man with a history of resisting and fleeing from police was tasered last evening after leading officers on a foot chase.
At about 11:15PM, a Barnstable Patrolman confronted a suspect wanted for a larceny which occurred earlier at the Macy’s Department Store inside the Cape Cod Mall.
As you will see in the following video, some sort of scuffle ensued which knocked over the fencing in front of Alberto’s Restorante on Main Street. You will then suddenly hear the patrolman announce that he was engaged in a foot pursuit…
The foot chase ended with the patrolman taking the suspect into custody about two blocks away from the location of the initial encounter.
According to sources, the suspect was tasered, possibly more than once. The suspect was transported to CCH for evaluation. And as you will see in the video, he was alert and able to stand…
Also note, no patrol officers were injured during the arrest.
Jason Dilleree, age 35, of Hyannis, was charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Shoplifting, and Trespassing.
The following video highlights last night’s scene just moments after the suspect was taken into custody. NOTE: The police/Fire audio is condensed and not accurately representative of its full length… and it is also not in sequence with the video….
