FOUR YOUTHS HURT IN COTUIT ROLLOVER CRASH [HN PHOTOS]

COTUIT, Massachusetts – [HN PHOTO NOTES] – All four passengers were eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital after a single vehicle crash required at least one mutual aid ambulance. The crash happened in the vicinity of 77 Main Street around 11:30 p.m. last evening. A utility pole was snapped. An Audi sedan ended up being a mangled mess. Miraculously, all four passengers, two 16-year-olds, one 19-year-old, and one young adult, all escaped life-threatening injuries, according to sources. One of the youths reportedly told officers they had been only traveling 15 MPH prior to leaving the roadway. But judging from the heavy damage, the youth was likely confused and had the digits reversed. 51 MPH would probably be more accurate. Either way, and more importantly, all four young people were fortunately still alive after such a violent crash… and will hopefully count their blessings and have safer days while moving forward in this life.
Main Street just south of Route 28 needed to be completely closed down while first responders worked the scene. A supervisor requested two detail officers to assist Eversource as the utility pole was being replaced.
The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. And the investigation continued at Cape Cod Hospital after all four occupants had been transported…
