HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS — [DEVELOPING] – Just after 3 a.m. Thursday, a driver arriving for work at Sun Island Delivery on Attucks Lane was startled to find a half-naked man inside the cab of his tractor-trailer. He immediately called police.

Barnstable Police officers responding to the scene found the man still inside the truck. Cellphone video (see above screenshots) captured officers physically pulling the suspect — naked from the waist down — out of the cab before handcuffing him and placing him in the back of a cruiser while they continued their investigation.

Nearby, officers located a Chevrolet sedan bearing Texas plates along with the man’s discarded belongings, including his pants. Preliminary checks revealed the suspect has prior criminal records in both Massachusetts and Florida.

Because of his state of undress, police summoned an ambulance. The man was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation. He now faces charges that include breaking and entering a motor vehicle at night, malicious destruction of property, and trespassing.

The investigation remains active. Additional details will be reported as they become available.

The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. [DEVELOPING]
