He wanted a slice of pizza, but got locked up for drunk driving instead… [VIDEO]
OSTERVILLE – According sources, a Rhode Island man arrested for drunk driving was on his way to get some pizza when he crashed into some signs…
… the sign of a local pizza parlor, along with the sign for a police substation.
Just before midnight, a Barnstable Police Lieutenant was on his way home when he volunteered to check on a routine minor car crash.
It turned out to be a little more than just a minor crash. The Lieutenant immediately requested a marked police unit, photos, and a tow truck.
There was airbag deployment but the driver, the sole occupant, of the vehicle was uninjured.
After field sobriety testing, Ryan Cotter, age 20, from Rhode Island, was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence and Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle.
Cotter was transported, without pizza, back to Barnstable Police Headquarters for booking and processing.
