“This court made its decision, not based on the color of this man’s skin, but on his character and his offense…”
~ Barnstable Superior Court Judge Gary Nickerson
BARNSTABLE – Earlier today, Anthony “Little Ant” Russ was sentenced to 4 to 10 years in state prison after being convicted on drug charges related to possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to distribute.
The videos and articles on this page sum up a long ordeal for local law enforcement in relation to Anthony Russ, one of their number one concerns…
But in typical “Little Ant” style, today’s court proceedings were not without a little drama, as outgoing Defense Attorney Barry Wilson levied the issue of what he called “racism…”
The court wasn’t having it, referring to the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., along with the solid Barnstable Police case constructed “brick by brick” against the defendant.
Details relating to today’s sentencing, as well as Little Ant’s troublesome life of crime, are contained in the following HN videos and articles:

Barry Wilson, Criminal Defense Attorney for Anthony Russ, raised the question of “racism” during today’s sentencing.
Superior Court Judge Nickerson responded by referring to Dr. MLK’s dream to “one day live in a nation where [King’s four little children would] not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Judge Nickerson responded to Attorney Wilson’s second reference to “racism” by stating, “This court made its decision, not based on the color of this man’s skin, but on his character and his offense.”
