HECTIC STABBING SCENE: Police rush to upstairs apartment on Main Street… [HN VIDEO]
UPDATE: According to Barnstable Police Lt. John Murphy, the victim was a 23-year-old Hyannis male. He was transported to CCH, treated and then released with a non-life threatening stab wound. The suspect was initially placed in protective custody at the scene for being intoxicated, she was eventually charged with A&B DW as the investigation unfolded… The assault appears to have resulted from a dispute between individuals who knew each other… It was not considered to be a “domestic” type of dispute.
UPDATE: According to Detective Kevin Connolly, the lead investigator in this case, Junelle Jones-Saunders, age 23, of Sandwich, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon to wit knife. The knife was recovered during the investigation.

At about 3:48PM this afternoon, Barnstable Police squad cars rushed to 71 Main Street for some type of fight which ended up with a male being stabbed.
A HN camera begins rolling just as officers rush up a flight of outside stairs to secure a second floor apartment.
As you will see, three individuals were immediately detained in handcuffs.
The stabbing victim, a young male, was able to walk out to an awaiting ambulance.
The two remaining females were questioned separately. You’ll see a plainclothes officer read one of the females her rights…
You’ll also hear a police sergeant describe the alleged weapon used, a folding knife… possibly hidden in one of the female’s bra…
Later radio transmissions indicate officers may have found the weapon… (That information has yet to be officially confirmed…)
HN is working on obtaining more details about today’s incident which was confirmed as a stabbing by various sources.
