Helmetless quad operator had no license when he allegedly didn’t stop for cops…
On Sunday, February 10, at 2:10 a.m., Wareham Police Officer Robert McLain observed a male operating an ATV with no helmet on Fearing Hill Road, according to a Wareham Police media statement.
Officer McLain attempted to stop the quad, however it reportedly sped up, turning onto Burfield Drive.
The male stopped in a backyard and allegedly started to run from the area before being ordered to stop by the officer.
The suspect was placed under arrest as he was determined to have no driver’s license, according to the media statement.
Erique Gomes, age 26, of Wareham, was charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, and Failure to Stop for Police.
* All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law…
