HN PHOTO: “It’s that time of year…”
WEST YARMOUTH – [HN NOTES] – The above HN photo shows Yarmouth FD EMTs helping a motorcyclist with a leg injury. Shortly before 6:00 a.m. this morning, Yarmouth Police and Firefighters responded to West Yarmouth Road for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. Thankfully, the crash was relatively minor… and thankfully, the motorcyclist’s injuries were also relatively minor.
It’s uncertain what caused this morning’s crash but it’s that time of year; the weather is warmer, days are longer, and everyone has someplace they need to be – like “five minutes ago!”
But please, “take her easy” and drive defensively. Travel posted speeds. Keep your eye’s peeled. Put the phones away and always scan ahead for potential hazards, including pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles. In short, nobody needs to get jammed up with a crash scene. It happens really fast… and it really sucks.
Drive defensively always!
P.S. – And please, by all means, have very safe and splendiferous Thursday!
