HYANNIS – It’s an unfortunate sign of the times, citizens and police on high alert for any signs of gunplay…

According to police sources, this was the scene in the East End of Main Street this morning at about 10:00AM as patrol officers needed to conduct a ‘felony stop’ after receiving information the driver may have reached for a gun during a road rage confrontation.

The argument was described as a mutual verbal “pissing contest” until one individual believed the other driver was reaching for something a little more substantial and life threatening.

As you will see in the following HN Reader Video, police responded and brought along some substantial heat of their own. They clearly were not playing games…

No weapons were found during the stop and no charges were reported.

HN NOTE: In my humble opinion, the best policy in any road rage pissing contest is to keep one’s trap shut and keep moving. Call the cops if you need to, but don’t engage and cause things to escalate. In most cases, not engaging will end the confrontation. I know, easier said than done, especially when some bright red fool is calling you names like “lardass,” and “jackwagon…” – which for some dudes is like a sharp kick to their manhood – but hey, sometimes we all have to suck it up and not let finger gestures and name calling get to us. What’s that old saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me?” Well, that still holds true, but instead of reaching for sticks and stones these days, that bright red insane assclown you just flipped off may actually be reaching for a Glock…

… and all over something stupid, like a turn signal or what the-eff ever!

Besides remember, somewhere, in a far FAR away galaxy, little green men are watching us and laughing their little green asses off! It’s freakin’ embarrassing!

C’mon Earthlings and fellow Hytonians! Don’t make us look bad!!! 😉

REMEMBER: Basic road rage rules that just might save your life:
1. Keep your trap shut
2. Do not engage
3. Keep moving
4. Call the cops if you must…
