SERIOUS INJURIES: School instructor run over by John Deere Gator on grounds of Cape Cod Tech… [HN VIDEO]
UPDATE – WCVB REPORTS: “The teacher was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with serious injuries. Sanborn said the teacher has two broken legs and suffered a concussion” It’s still uncertain whether the driver was a student or another staff member, according to Superintendent Sanborn… The horticulture teacher was on the grounds with a class of about 10 students. The students immediately responded and got help…
UPDATE — 2:00PM — HN spoke with Cape Cod Tech Superintendent Robert Sanborn and he confirmed that the individual struck by the Gator was one of the school’s instructors. He also mentioned that the students rushed to the teacher’s aid, and quickly got the school nurse to respond to the scene… Superintendent Sanborn was in Boston at the time of the incident and did not know whether or not a student was driving the John Deere at the time of the accident…

HARWICH – [DEVELOPING] — A school instructor was run over by a John Deere Gator in front of Cape Cod Tech late this morning.
The man was initially being transported to Barnstable Municipal to meet a MedFlight helicopter when rescuers called off the airlift and opted to take the patient directly to Cape Cod Hospital. The patient was said to have injuries to both legs, along with a possible head injury…
According to the Harwich FD, the injuries turned out to be not as bad as initially expected.
Nothing official on the male patient’s current condition…
