YARMOUTH PORT – A SUV may have went airborne before landing in the woods near the intersection of Route 6A and Weir Road earlier this evening.
At about 7:00PM, police began receiving calls about a possible hit and run crash… with the suspect vehicle leaving the scene and driving toward Barnstable…
Police were still investigating the scene at the time of the following HN Video. And details surrounding the crash remain uncertain… but an SUV did apparently somehow leave the roadway and travel up an embankment before landing in the woods, with heavy damage to the front end and sides of the vehicle…
The driver of the SUV was transported to CCH. The condition of the patient is unknown…
