HYANNIS – It’s uncertain what caused an SUV full of what appeared to be teenagers/young adults to leave the roadway and barrel into a wooded area last evening. At least 3 patients were transported to CCH with injuries not believed life-threatening. There were at least 5 passengers inside the heavily damaged vehicle.

The accident occurred at about 9:45 p.m. on Pitchers Way near the intersection with Beth Lane.

As you will see and hear, HN arrived on scene prior to police and firefighters. HN spoke with the operator to assure him help was on its way, and to advise him to remain seated on the ground for the time being.

A total of three ambulances responded to the scene. Despite the impact and damage, the patients’ injuries were relatively minor. (They were fortunate…)
