*** WATCH *** DEVELOPING IN HYANNIS: Man walked into hospital lobby saying he’d been stabbed…
HYANNIS – According to police radio transmissions early last evening, a male, described as being 21-years-old, walked into the emergency room lobby at Cape Cod Hospital stating he had been stabbed. Initial reports say it was believed he was stabbed in his chest. Barnstable Police patrol units responded to CCH to investigate.
Upon further investigation, officers learned the stabbing possibly took place in the area of Charles Street, just east of Washington Avenue. Patrol officers responded to the area and questioned individuals on the street while looking for cameras that may have caught the crime on video. The Barnstable Police Detective Division was reportedly also notified.
At the time of this report – about 2:15 a.m. – the BPD confirmed the incident was still being actively investigated. Also, there was no word on the current condition of the alleged victim.
