HYANNIS – A female walked in on a strange man in her kitchen at about 6:30 a.m. this morning, according to radio transmissions. Barnstable patrol units responded to a home in the area of West Main Street, looking for a male who was said to be wearing just one shoe.

Upon further investigation, officers located the suspect in the bathroom of a nearby Cumberland Farms.

As you will hear in the following HN Video, the 51-year-old Hyannis male has a history of larceny and Breaking & Entering charges, according to radio transmissions. Hyannis Rescue was called for a psychological evaluation… but ended up clearing when the suspect refused treatment.

Due to unusual circumstances and the fact the Barnstable Police Department has the suspect’s information and booking photos already on file, the decision was made to summons the suspect into court.
