HYANNIS – [HN PHOTOS] – Shortly after 1:00 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Main Street and Pearl Street for a fight between several young adult males. There were reports of at least one male jumping up and down on the hood of a nearby parked car. There were also reports of one male being punched in the back of the head. The person who was punched reportedly spun around and pepper sprayed the male who had just hit him. Most of the combatants had already fled when HN took the above photographs. The male who had been “gassed” in the face with pepper spray was sitting on the curb being comforted by a young adult female. He was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital for an eye injury. The incident is being investigated by the Barnstable Police Department. A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit assisted with photographs.
