17-year-old male struck by car in Hyannis… [CALL AUDIO]
HYANNIS – Cape Cod Hospital was placed on a Trauma Alert after a teenager was struck by a car last evening.
At about 9:45 p.m. Monday evening, police and firefighters rushed to the intersection of Ocean Street and Old Colony Road for a crash with injury. As you will hear in the following call audio, while responding, EMTs were advised the patient was conscious, alert, and responsive.
According to Captain Jeffrey Huska of the Hyannis Fire Department, the patient was in serious condition upon being transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
According to Lieutenant Jennifer Ellis of the Barnstable Police Department, the injured pedestrian is a 17-year-old male and the driver of the vehicle that struck the teen remained on scene.
The motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident is being investigated by the Barnstable Police Department. The following HN Video contains radio transmissions between EMTs and Hyannis Fire Department dispatch. No further details were available at the time of this report.
