*** WATCH *** DOWNTOWN DRAMA: Loud disturbance in area of the bus station… warrant arrest… another also taken into custody… [HN VIDEO]
HYANNIS – Things suddenly became a little heated in the downtown area at about 1:30 a.m. this morning…
As you will see in the following HN Video, police were called to the area of Center Street for some type of loud disturbance. Officers encountered three males and began trying to speak with them. The young men appeared upset and there had obviously been some type of prior disturbance, possibly a physical altercation of some sort. The three men all knew one another and police just wanted to defuse the situation, urging them to quiet down and go home. A computer check revealed one of the men had a warrant for his arrest. A state trooper also arrived on scene as officers demonstrated an abundance of patience trying to get the other two men to go on their merry way. As you will see in the HN Video, a second young man was also eventually taken into protective custody as officers ran out of options…
