HN PHOTOS: Patrolman checking on “suspicious vehicle” discovers unconscious female…

HYANNIS – [HN NOTES] – It’s a “routine” call for local police officers, finding someone unconscious suffering from some type of overdose…
… routine, but it never ever gets any easier, knowing every second matters and that every one of your actions may mean the difference between life and death. It’s a lot of pressure and always a stressful situation for any first responder. But despite all pressures, HN has observed local police and firefighters literally save countless lives over the years.
In this case, shortly after midnight, a rookie Barnstable Patrolman happened upon what he described as a “suspicious vehicle” on Main Street near the Yarmouth town line. A young female passenger was unconscious, possibly caused by a combination of alcohol and Adderall, according to radio transmissions and on scene conversation. The first policemen on scene immediately began rendering first aid as additional officers and Hyannis Rescue EMTs responded.
Despite many attempts, the female did not initially respond to any of the officers’ efforts. But eventually, after some tense moments, the female slowly began to come around, just moments after Hyannis EMTs arrived on scene to take over rescue efforts.
