LATEST CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS OF MAY 14TH… [UPDATED 5/15 STATS.]

UPDATE 5/15/2020 – Since this May 14th report, the Cape Cod death count attributed to COVID-19 has risen to 86, up from 79. The total amount of confirmed cases has risen to 1,137, up from 1,111. For the latest statewide Coronavirus statistics according to the Mass. DPH, CLICK HERE…
The following statistics were published yesterday afternoon by the Massachusetts Department of Health:
HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – There has been a total of 79 Cape Cod deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported as of yesterday afternoon (up 18 from 61 recorded on 5/8 – just 6 days ago)… of 174 newly reported deaths statewide yesterday… and there are currently 5,315 statewide deaths officially attributed to COVID-19 (up from 4,702 recorded on 5/8). There are currently 794 cases in Massachusetts Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
The Cape’s confirmed case count is 1,111 as of yesterday afternoon (up from 1,038 recorded on 5/8)… and there were 1,165 newly confirmed cases statewide on yesterday. The state now has 80,497 confirmed cases (up from 75,333 recorded on 5/8).
Cape Cod Hospital has 22 hospitalized COVID-19 patients as of yesterday (up from 19 on 5/8), with 3 patients reportedly in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (down from 6 on 5/8).
Falmouth Hospital has 13 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (up from 3 on 5/8), with 3 patients in the ICU (up from 0 on 5/8).
NOTE: There are currently NO official statewide statistics on recoveries or recovery rates…
