LATEST CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS OF MAY 8TH
HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – There has been a total of 61 Cape Cod deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported as of yesterday afternoon (up from 47 recorded on 5/3 – just 5 days ago)… of 150 newly reported deaths statewide yesterday… and there are currently 4,702 statewide deaths officially attributed to COVID-19 (up from 4,004 recorded on 5/3). There are currently 826 cases in Massachusetts Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
The Cape’s confirmed case count is 1,038 as of yesterday afternoon (up from 946 recorded on 5/3)… and there were 1,612 newly confirmed cases statewide on yesterday. The state now has 75,333 confirmed cases (up from 68,087 recorded on 5/3).
Cape Cod Hospital has 19 hospitalized COVID-19 patients as of yesterday (up from 14 on 5/3), with 6 patients reportedly in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (up from 4 on 5/3).
Falmouth Hospital has 3 hospitalized COVID-19 patients (down from 5 on 5/3), with 0 patients in the ICU (down from 2 on 5/3).
