*** WATCH *** Everyone escapes early morning Hyannis blaze…
HYANNIS – Firefighters were alerted by a woman who looked out and saw flames coming from her neighbor’s bedroom early this morning at about 4:30 a.m.. And it’s a good thing she called when she did because everyone reportedly got out safely and firefighters were able to confine the flames to the bedroom area of the home.
The back corner of the house was fully involved and one of the residents unsuccessfully tried to knock down the flames with a garden hose as a Barnstable Police Officer pleaded with him to move away for his own safety.
The fire happened on the corner of Brian Lane and Old Strawberry Hill Road in Hyannis…
The Hyannis Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire…
According to Chief Peter Burke of the HFD, both residents and firefighters were not injured…
