HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Very scary moments as a young family escaped an early smoky fire on Oak Street this morning. A young child, mom, and dad were able to get out safely but needed to be checked out at Cape Cod Hospital for smoke inhalation.

Crews responded to 41 Oak Street a short time before 4:00 a.m.. Another family was already outside the building and as you’ll see in the following HN Video, it appears a mom and her young child were able to walk out on their own…

The fire was quickly brought under control.
