HYANNIS – A woman embraces a scooter driver in relief after a minor collision with the vehicle she was driving this afternoon. She was relieved the scooter driver was not injured. The crash happened on West Main Street at the intersection of Lincoln Road. The driver of the scooter was given a ride to his nearby home. The scooter was inoperable. Hyannis firefighters loaded the man’s damaged scooter into the bed of one of their utility trucks and brought it to his residence.

The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
