HATEFUL DESTRUCTION: Not the best way for these young police officers to end their shift… [HN PHOTOS]

HN NOTE: When these police officers started last evening’s shift it was still “National Police Week 2021,” May 9, 2021 – May 15, 2021, a week meant to honor the brave men and women of Law Enforcement… their disappointment this morning was palpable. They deserve much better than this!
HYANNIS – This was the scene outside of the Barnstable Police substation on Main Street this morning shortly before 7:00 a.m., about an hour before these young patrolmen (including one rookie) were getting off their shift. One officer on scene described last night’s shift as one of their busiest overnights of the season thus far. To end their shift by coming across such hateful, negatively symbolic destruction to their workplace was not a nice feeling. But being professionals, these young police officers grabbed brooms and buckets, and began picking up the pieces. Tonight will likely be another busy night…
The Barnstable Police and the Barnstable County Sheriffs are investigating…
