HYANNIS – A 31-year-old female driver from Norwood flew off the roadway and crashed onto a grassy knoll after allegedly stabbing herself in leg Saturday evening. She was alert, talkative, and able to communicate her story to first responders as they arrived to investigate.
The crash happened on Route 132 (described as being in front of Mike’s Pizza) shortly before midnight, Saturday evening – November 6th, 2021.
Hyannis FD Rescue arrived and provided first aid on scene prior to transporting the stab victim to Cape Cod Hospital. The puncture wound was described as being about two inches deep, according to sources on scene. The knife apparently plunged into the inner part of the woman’s thigh prior to her losing control of her vehicle. Airbags deployed inside of the vehicle and it’s uncertain if the operator suffered any other injuries apart from the alleged self-knifing.
