HN PHOTOS: Teenager cited after crashing into woods…
Police responded to a crash on Buck Island Road (near Winslow Gray Road) in Yarmouth early this morning after a vehicle drove off into the woods. The driver, a 16-year-old, was evaluated by rescue but did not require medical treatment. The driver (the sole occupant) had been driving home from a Halloween party and had some fake costume blood on her, which kind of caused officers to look twice – but thankfully it turned out that she was NOT injured. The young driver passed field sobriety tests but she was, however, issued a citation for traffic violations, including marked lanes and unlicensed driver. Her dad came to the scene to drive her home…
In an additional, unrelated early morning HN photo, police responded to the parking lot outside a Hyannis bar for a woman alleging that her intoxicated sister had just assaulted her. The alleged victim had scratches to her neck area but did not require rescue. The sister who allegedly assaulted her left the scene. The injuries were photographed by a member of the Barnstable Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit. The sister who allegedly caused the injuries was later arrested by Barnstable Police at a residence in Yarmouth.
