WEST HYANNISPORT – [DEVELOPING] – A traffic stop led to officers issuing an application for criminal charges last evening.
The traffic stop was conducted by two Barnstable Police patrolmen at the intersection of Craigville Beach Road and Strawberry Hill Road shortly after 9:30 p.m..
As you will see in the following HN Video, during the stop, one of the patrolmen spoke to one of the vehicle’s two occupants while holding what appeared to be some kind of glass pipe.
It’s uncertain what led up to the traffic stop and what the criminal application pertains to, but HN has reached out to the Barnstable Police Department and will provide official updates and details as they become available.
Other than the “Criminal Application” box reportedly being checked off on the citation – according radio transmissions – both occupants were not taken into custody and were free to leave. The entire traffic stop lasted about half an hour…
