Hyannis — UPDATE: This latest video was taken at about noon. It shows whiteout conditions on Route 28 near the Barnstable Municipal Airport that caused a 3 car accident. The video also shows a Main Street storefront window that was pushed in by wind… 217 Main Street is listed as “Best Ever Massage.” [Press play]

A cracked utility pole which is leaning into the roadway on Highbank Rd. in South Dennis has caused the shut down of the Highbank Bridge which spans the Bass River connecting Dennis and Yarmouth.
The pole is on the Dennis side of the bridge and is in danger of falling into the roadway.
The damage the pole is believed to be due to the high winds in the area.
The bridge will be shut down until further notice.
