KRISTY’S KORNER: Whole Foods Celebrates 1 Week Anniversary

Today marks the one week anniversary for Whole Foods in Hyannis. I have been there 5 times over the course of this opening week and I must admit after all the hype, I like that we have this new option on The Cape. Although it would not be a place I do all of my shopping, I was impressed with the fresh seafood selection, their sale items, waffle bar but most noticeably, the employees. They were helpful, happy and like every Whole Foods, want you to be happy with your grocery shopping experience.

I like having options…whether that is for a supermarket, restaurant or any other shopping. It allows me to try new things, experience different customer service and enables me to make a smart decision on where I like to spend my hard earned money. I prefer to shop in local “mom and pop” stores to keep them in business, to support their hard work on running a small business, but sometimes shopping at a “chain” store has its advantages.

Whole Foods couldn’t have opened at a better time of the year. The soon vacationers from all over will be glad to see such a store, to grab something already prepared for their dinner guests, or simply a quick piece of pizza or sandwich and snacks on the way to the beach. I encourage you to stop in if you haven’t had the chance yet…check your own options out, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
