Lovely last day of spring on the Village Green…
Hyannis – What a beautiful last day of spring on the Village Green!
Youngsters playing Frisbee.
Moms stretched out on picnic blankets, riveted on images of their precious children frolicking in the late afternoon sun…
… a cool dry breeze wafting pleasant fresh scents from surrounding vegetation and nearby Nantucket Sound…
… rescue workers hoisting an unconscious, nearly comatose drunk up onto an awaiting stretcher…
These are the familiar sights, scents, and sounds we’ve all come to know and love as residents of the “2007 All American City.”
It was indeed a lovely day for both families and local drunks!
Meanwhile, local government “leaders” sat comfortably indoors in the every-growing city of town air conditioned offices… dreaming about taxes and how they can line their bulging wallets…
What kind of self-respecting overindulged town bureaucracy can pretend with a straight face to be an “All American City” when their front lawn… a.k.a. “The Village Green”… is constantly littered with comatose drunkards?
C’mon…
All American City my arse!
We deserve better.
