Main Street fight photos: Shortly before 1:00 a.m. Saturday, multiple Barnstable Police units in downtown Hyannis responded to the Main Street sidewalk near Winter Street for reports of 4 to 5 women fighting. First officers on scene put out a BOLO for a local woman in her late 20s wanted on probable cause of felony Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon involving a glass storefront window. Officers found a cracked window at the scene. A Hyannis Fire Department ambulance evaluated a patient for minor head injuries; the person refused further care. The suspect was last seen walking west on Main Street and was taken into custody without incident about two blocks away. A Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit photographed evidence. The woman was transported to Barnstable Police HQ for booking. Hyannis News responded to police HQ and was unable to confirm her identity at the time. Back on Main Street, people with the suspect told HN she did not start the altercation. These are initial details from police radio transmissions and sources; the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
