FELTHAM CRUSHES CULLUM IN PRECINCT 13 LANDSLIDE! Longtime Hyannis...

HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – Alan Feltham has won a decisive victory in Barnstable’s Precinct 13 special town council election, defeating Jennifer Cullum by a commanding 327 to 181 margin according to the initial certification of the vote totals. The longtime Hyannis resident now takes the Precinct 13 (lower Hyannis) seat on the Town of Barnstable Town Council.

The special election, held Tuesday, October 13, 2026, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center on Bassett Lane, fills the vacancy created by the passing of Council President Felicia Penn. Feltham will complete the remainder of the term through November 2027.

A Hyannis resident since 1959, Feltham brings more than six decades of local roots along with extensive professional and civic experience. His career has included work as an engineer, project manager, and director of market research for a large machine-tool company, as well as service as an adjunct faculty member in engineering and MBA programs at Anna Maria College. He has also operated a small family business on the Cape.

Feltham’s public service record includes two years as Chairman of the Barnstable Economic Development Committee (BEDC), following several years of involvement with the committee. He currently serves on the Hyannis Main Street Waterfront Historic District Commission. He has described his run in straightforward terms: after a lifetime in Hyannis and prior committee service, he wants to give back and help protect the community’s rich history, character, and future.

Hyannis News previously introduced Feltham on the Village Green ahead of the election, highlighting his background and commitment to Precinct 13.
