Motorcyclist seriously injured; one to jail after dog related disturbance at beach; tons of photos and much more!
Osterville — A motorcyclist driving a blue Yamaha was seriously injured after a head-on collision with a white SUV at the intersection of Bumps River Road and Pond Street.
The call came in at 4:26pm.
The driver of the white SUV was not injured and watched the entire scene unfold from the side of the road.
It appears the male motorcyclist may have struck the windshield…
The motorcyclist was transported a few hundred yards away to a ball field at Osterville Elementary. When it was learned that the MedFlight helicopter was 43 minutes away, COMM rescue workers decided it would be better to drive directly to South Shore Medical Center.
According to a COMM rescue worker the motorcyclist sustained serious injures which likely included broken legs as well as other trauma…

Earlier in the day, multiple Barnstable Police Cruisers along with a Barnstable Natural Resources truck responded to Veteran’s Beach in Hyannis for a disturbance involving a dog.
Officer Parache called for additional units when people were being uncooperative. A woman was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct after she flipped Officer Parache the bird and refused to cooperate after given the opportunity to leave.
No other arrests were made.
The white dog who was the center of the original ruckus gave Officer Brian Morrison a hard time when he refused to get back inside the vehicle.
The dog did not have a prior record and was given a break this time…
In other news:
Multiple Barnstable Officers were able to peacefully defuse a volatile disturbance which began in the restrooms behind the JFK Museum. No arrests were made.

There was an Elvis sighting in the downtown Hyannis area yesterday! He appeared well for his age and surprisingly may still be fertile… Elvis and his new family were last seen leaving the town hall parking lot in a small gray Toyota Corolla.
