MAJOR DRUG RAID IN YARMOUTH
The Massachusetts State Police/Cape Cod Task Force initiated a several month investigation into the distribution of Heroin and Cocaine by Rodney Ferguson at 40 Salt Marsh Lane, West Yarmouth, MA.
As a result of the investigation, the Massachusetts State Police were issued a “No-Knock”, nighttime, Search Warrant for Ferguson and the residence at 40 Salt Marsh Lane, West Yarmouth.
On Friday, June 8, 2018, at approximately 4:00AM, the Massachusetts State Police/Cape Cod Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police “STOP” team, and members of the Yarmouth Police Department executed the state search warrant.
Officers located Ferguson and Barbara Collins inside the home along with several other occupants.
As a result of the Search Warrant, Officers seized approximately 8.5 grams of heroin, 3 grams of cocaine and $484.00 in Ferguson’s bedroom.
Officers also seized approximately 60 grams of heroin, 71 grams of cocaine, 49 grams of crack cocaine and $2716.00 in the bedroom of Collins.
Officers located scales and packaging material for distributing heroin/cocaine in both Ferguson’s and Collin’s bedrooms.
Officers placed Ferguson and Collins under arrest and transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters for booking.
Ferguson is a convicted felon with 69 prior criminal charges on his Massachusetts Criminal Record and other charges in Florida and Rhode Island.
Ferguson and Collins were transported to Barnstable District Court this morning for arraignment.
