CAUTION BUMPS AHEAD : One to jail, another to hospital… [Updated]
Update: Hyannis News learned from Barnstable Police Sergeant Sean Sweeney that this incident was some type of “Domestic” altercation. The person who was arrested (I decided not to run the name or exact address in this situation), was booked on charges having to do with Assault and Battery, Intimidation of a Witness, and Threats. Too much alcohol was a major factor, leading him to be held in protective custody until he sobered up. Also, there were no updates on the condition of the other man taken to hospital on a stretcher…
Hyannis – Barnstable Patrolmen Jackson and Fallon responded to a residence on Cedar Street at 6:40pm for an assault between two young adult males. Apparently the aggressor was still on the scene and subsequently taken into custody as soon as officers arrived. He was also reportedly intoxicated.

Hyannis Rescue also responded and removed a second male on a stretcher. He was then transported to CCH.
Barnstable Police were unable to provide information regarding the exact charges this evening.
