Police investigate horrible collision… [Video] [Updated]
Update 8/31/2013: According to the Cape Cod Times, police have identified the motorcyclist as 59-year-old David Carlson of Marstons Mills. Carlson was flown by MedFlight helicopter to an undisclosed hospital in Boston. He was said to have been gravely injured. There have been no updates as to his current condition. Centerville – First responders rushed to the dangerous intersection at Race Lane and Old Stage Road this afternoon for an accident involving a motorcycle and a Ford pickup truck.
The driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured and had to be med-flighted to hospital.
West bound traffic was shut down at Old Stage Road and Oak Street.
Off-duty accident reconstruction expert Officer Brian Murray outlined the scene with fluorescent paint. [see top photo]
The CCTimes and other sources are reporting the motorcyclist suffered “grave” head injuries…
